Field Tripping: Sacred Gifts at BYU Museum of Art

Yes, even Sophie's hippo had a good time :)

Watching the introductory movie

We happened to go on Earth Day, and we happened to be watching Nausicaa, Valley of the Wind in the car, and while we were in The Industrial Sublime exhibit, we happened to have an excellent (albeit, short) impromptu conversation about all those ideas.

And should any of you have any grand delusions about this being some intellectual, artsy, philosophical field trip, we were in and out, from the car back to car, in 44 minutes.

Sigh, someday I will be able to go to an art museum and go at my own snail-like pace

Thoughts from inside my head while we were racing through the museum: For pete's sake children! Actual, real-life Carl Bloch paintings! All the way from Europe! Live, in person! Right there, on the wall behind you! This is not a race! Can't we go look again? Please?! Pretty, pretty please?

I think the highlight for everyone else was finding this moth outside.
