Relaxing at the park

Well, some of us relaxed. 

For the WWII class I teach in our commonwealth, I took the boys to the park to run around with a 50lb. pack- over tables, weaving around trees, circling a pavilion, dodging kids, & going under a bridge. It was entertaining. This is Austin's happy face, right? 

I lounged in the grass & helped Sophie into trees.

I'm sick with an infection and it's causing intense pain and I must be taken to the hospital so I can get some shots and a needle shoved up my skin to relieve the pressure. 

And I will act loopy and jittery and make my mom & the doctor worry I'm going to faint when really I just guzzled a Dr. Pepper and I'm on a caffeine high.

Oy. Kids.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a delightful Thanksgiving weekend at home, with no visitors, hanging out in our pajamas and being lazy. 

Austin & I did get dressed to go on a hike in the snow.

Peter Pan

In October, Nyah was in a local production of Peter Pan, Jr. She played Noodler, one of the pirates.

Austin helped with spotlights and is in the back row on the left side of this picture. 

Boys Weekend

Kurt & Austin went to the Lone Star Le Mans and the Circuit of the Americas in Texas. They had a fabulous time.

Merit Badge Field Tripping: Utah Capital Building

Austin is doing a merit badge pow-wow and needed to visit the state capital building and a federal monument.

After lunch we went to Fort Douglas for the federal monument, but didn't end up with any pictures.

Austin is working on some merit badges. He needed to go to an international event and while he was watching the news for a different merit badge, he saw a segment on the Utah International Car Expo. Kurt took him and they had a great time!

Austin's Shakespeare Conquest classes reward for completing all 10 requirements was a trip to the Shakespeare Festival. They had a blast!
