Virgin Rim Trail in the Hurricane Cliff area. We wanted to do the Virgin Dam Trail and then we started down the trail and realized it would be too treacherous for our little chickadees - I could see an area of the trail where it was about 1 foot wide, slanted downward, right along the cliff edge with chains bolted into mountainside to hold onto. Nope, not for us! So we stayed on the Rim Trail and had our one and only casualty of the trip (aside from all the bugs while driving) - Jolie was chasing a lizard and it darted under an unstable rock, she bumped the rock, it rolled and crushed the lizard. Sad and traumatizing.
After the hike we headed back to the house, hung out and started getting ready to go home.
